What It Means & Why It Matters<\/span><\/h2>

All Christians are members of the household of God, the body of Christ, and the temple of the Holy Spirit\u2014the one, holy, universal, apostolic church (Romans 12:3\u20138; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 12:4\u201331; Ephesians 1:22\u201323; 2:19\u00ad\u201322; 4:11\u201316). They enjoy and express these memberships through their identification with, commitment to, and active participation in a local church community.
